Specialized mental health support along all stages of your parenting journey

Perinatal Psychotherapy

Michelle has been supporting parents and caring for infants for over 18 years. She completed her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Immaculata University with a focus on maternal and infant psychology and mental health. She is also currently working towards her perinatal mental health certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International (PSI). Her combined experience as a postpartum doula and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) bring a broad range of skills to her work as a therapist. Michelle has gained valuable insight from her hands-on work assisting families through a variety of parenting styles and feeding choices. She specializes in guiding parents through weaning and feeding difficulties, caring for babies with colic or special needs, and exploring the personal transformations that take place during each stage of parenthood. She also enjoys supporting people while they navigate their reproductive journeys, feel through the intense anxiety and depression that can accompany parenthood, and as they learn to balance a life with post-traumatic stress. Michelle takes an eclectic approach to therapy by utilizing psychodynamic, person-centered, and existential theories; while incorporating practical coping skills and management techniques to help individuals work through the challenges that they encounter on their perinatal journeys.
